The Discovery, otherwise known as the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum, is located in Reno, Nevada. It is a non-profit private institution focused on educating and entertaining children and adults. It features several interactive exhibits that will keep the whole family entertained for hours. The museum is open on most days except Mondays. It’s located at 490 S. Center Street, just south of downtown Reno. Parking is available in a free lot on the north side of the building or on surrounding streets. Admission is $10 for children aged 1-17, $12 for adults, and free for children under one. There are special discounted group rates available.
The Discovery is a hands-on museum that celebrates Nevada’s history, science, engineering, and technology. It has a three-story Cloud Climber and other special exhibits. It’s best to visit on the weekends to avoid the crowds. It can get crowded during school groups. During these times, the museum can be noisy.
